Hey y'all. The next race meet is scheduled for Sunday, the 20th of August, 2006. First race at 11am. Once again, please be a bit early, we need to sort a couple of issues (like starting procedures). We're gonna hold it at Memorial Park in the skate ring this time. Be prepared for a concrete surface that should mean a few more skids. For those that don't know the park, it is on Main Street, just north of Ruahine Street. It has toilets, play ground and a duck pond, so if you bring your kids, they can have some fun between races. We'll also have a fund-raising BBQ, money to go towards prizes. See you there

Ok guys, with the second meeting just around the corner I thought now would be a good time to post. Firstly, thanks to the Redneck crew for the first meeting, very impressive track and cars you have built and no doubt they will be getting a lot of use in the near future. I think the first meeting ran well and will obviously only get better over time. My only concern is the crystal issue which you have already pointed out. I was only able to compete in two races of five due to interference. As you guys noticed, my car would run fine in the pit area by itself but would be out of control when trying to race. Although, it was interesting that I had no issues during race one and race five?? Anyway, I think it would be a good idea to have every competitor physically present their crystals when signing in on race day as well as maybe the controller. The frequencies could be recorded and confirmed as correct, controller battery levels checked and also condition of aerials and crystals for corrosion, breaks etc. I know there are many more issues that cause interference but these are the most simple to check and could easily eliminate possible issues. Also, maybe listing a primary crystal frequency for each electric car on the website like you have with the gas cars. I suggest each competitor keeping the same frequency they used at the first meet and listing that ONE ONLY under the electric crystal list post. Any new competitors can then purchase a frequency that is not taken because at the moment no one is sure who is running what for the next meeting and there are already people with the same two sets of crystals. These are just suggestions, what do you think? Looking forward to the next meeting and once again thanks to the Redneck crew for all your efforts, cheers guys.
